CF One Eligibility

During the registration process, you'll be requested to supply proof of your relationship to the Canadian military community. This information is being requested as this program is unable to access the databases used to hold former members' personal information. By providing us with proof of affiliation, you are consenting that you are in fact a member of the Canadian military community.

Canadian Armed Forces members and their families

Includes officers and non-commissioned members who are enrolled for continuing, full-time military service. Includes students on full-time study status (such as Regular Officer Training Program) and the Military Ordinariate of Canada.

Includes the Primary Reserve (serving on one of three classes of service – A, B and C), the Canadian Rangers and the Cadet Organization Administrative and Training Service.

Cadet Organization Administration and Training Service (COATS) is a sub-component of the Reserve Force which consists of CAF members who have undertaken as their primary duty the supervision, administration and training of cadets or Junior Canadian Rangers (JCR). The COATS is comprised of officers of the CIC military occupation and CAF members of other military occupations. Refers also to the actual cadet corps and squadrons within the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, the Royal Canadian Army Cadets and the Royal Canadian Air Cadets.

Includes members of foreign military service, either posted to, or on training at a Canadian Forces installation (Base, Wing, Unit, College). This includes Foreign Defence, Naval, Army and Air attachés.

Veterans

The Government of Canada officially recognizes as “Veterans”- for public recognition purposes only- as those members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have successfully completed Basic Military Training and have been released from the Canadian Forces with an honourable discharge. Veterans may also include a Peace Officer who served in a Special Duty Area or on a Special Duty Operation. These requirements apply equally to those Canadian Forces members who have served in the Reserves.

Extended Defence Team (current and former employees)

Refers to the full-time and part-time workforce that contribute(d) to the delivery of Non Public Property programs and activities, reflected as a Separate Agency listed under Schedule V of the FAA. (Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services employees) Excludes employees on contract, casual employment status and students on the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP). Includes current and former full-time and part-time staff.

Refers to current full-time and part time employees of the MFRC (excludes members of the Boards, employees on casual employment status and volunteers though they may still qualify under another category).

Current youth aged 12-18 years of age participating in the Sea Cadets, Air Cadets or Army Cadets. *Cards expire on the 19 th birthday or 3 years from card issue date, whichever comes first.

Proof of relationship for Cadets and JCR: Copy of the digital token supplied by your instructor.

Current youth aged 12 to 18, who live in remote and isolated areas of Canada that have Canadian Rangers. *Cards expire on the 19 th birthday or 3 years from card issue date, whichever comes first.

Refers to those who are appointed by the Minister of National Defence, on the recommendation of the Chief of Defence Staff, to work behind the scenes to provide a connection between the community and the Canadian Forces.

For all: Letter of employment demonstrating full or part-time permanent status
For former employees: Proof of employment from former employer
For current Staff of NPF, CF: PRI or NPF number
For MFRC employees: A letter from the MFRC stating that you are a current employee (full or part-time permanent status)
For RCMP: Copy of the member’s RCMP Service ID
For Cadets and JCR: Copy of the digital token supplied by your instructor.
For Honorary Col / Capt (N) & LCol / Cdr: Appointment letter, copy of NDI 10
For current DND public servant: Copy of member’s NDI 21 (Civilian ID Card)
For Canadian Coast Guard members: copy of ID Badge
For all others: Copy of member’s NDI 21 (Civilian ID Card)

Associates

(Cards expire annually for paid memberships)

Individuals that are legally bound in partnership with CFMWS through a Concession Agreement (i.e. Franchisee or Concession owner/operator).

Proof of Relationship: concessionaire agreement

(Cards expire upon conclusion of contract/agreement)

Refers to casual employees with no less than five consecutive years of recurring casual NPF employment within a CFMWS organization/unit

Proof of Relationship: Copy of employment letter
